Why record your firearms collection?

There are many reasons for doing this. A good one could be if you don't have the best memory and would like a way of recording the price you paid for your guns. You might also want a way to leave a precise catalog for your loved ones in case, God forbid, you pass away suddenly. Another reason could be if your home insurance policy covers your firearms and you need a way of keeping track of them and recording the approximate value. Or maybe you're just OCD and you feel a deep desire to record the details of your glorious hoard. Whatever the reason, this is the exact spreadsheet template I have been using for years and I highly recommend it.
